As the great and wise Rafiki says so eloquently:

It is time.
Time for my blog about my second year of shooting with Life is Beautiful Photography! In my last blog post, I ended the 2021 season with three weddings under my belt, all with Emily. Fast-forward a year to the summer of 2022; this time, I did all my weddings with the fantastic Sandra! (If you remember from my last blog post, or if you did not read it, Sandra initially wanted to hire me in 2019, pre-pandemic, so to work with her finally was exciting!)

Let’s get straight to it: this year I once again did three LIBP weddings.
The first wedding was at Century Wedding Barn. It was a great day, and the rustic barn felt oh so homey, inviting, and warm (and not just because it was a warm day). My favourite part of the day was the red truck, a nice addition visually and a unique way to hand out drinks.
My other favourite part was Sandra embracing her love of the Cha Cha slide and being unable to contain herself from dancing while taking photos.
Wedding number two was at the Riverbend Golf Community, where the groom had some awesome connections. The staff knew the couple and went the extra mile to make the day a success.
At this wedding, my favourite part was riding the golf carts with the couple, letting them have some time alone while also allowing us to have some fun riding around the beautiful golf course.

My last wedding for the season was at the Stratford Country Club, but we took their newlywed and bridal party photos beforehand at the Stratford Gardens. They were stunning.
I also love taking the newlywed and bridal party photos beforehand (if there’s a good amount of time for it), as it relieves a lot of stress and lets the bride and groom enjoy the party and their guests after the ceremony rather than being whisked away to take photos.
My favourite part of this day wasn’t what you would typically expect. It was the bride’s getting ready area! They booked an amazing rustic Airbnb with beautiful brick walls that made for such a lovely backdrop to the photos. A note to future brides and grooms—if you’re having getting ready photos taken, take note of your location. The background can significantly impact the tone and style of photos you receive just as much as the wedding venue itself!

And that’s it! Another three weddings as a second shooter. It was fun working with Sandra over 2022 and seeing her style as a photographer. She is fun and personable and knows what she’s doing. She’s full of helpful tips for anyone and everyone. I’m so thankful to have been a part of another season with Life is Beautiful Photography, and I love that I get to be a small part of the joy and beauty Sandra brings and captures.
